The left-wing party, especially the liberal media, have been mocking President Trump’s claim for months that a COVID-19 vaccine would be available by the end of the year. Even NIAID Director Dr. Fauci opposed Trump’s optimism.
During a briefing, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany sealed the hounds’ pounding on the president, reminding the outlets of their negative statements.
“Yesterday, the United States witnessed a medical miracle. The first doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered to frontline workers across the country,” McEnany began.
The press secretary said that President Trump delivered a safe and effective vaccine in record time as promised. She then went on to blast the media for doubting the president.
McEnany called on NBC News for reporting that Trump’s claims on an early vaccine would need a “miracle.” She said several news outlets and even so-called “fact-checks” were skeptics earlier this year.
McEnany also slammed HealthLine for saying that “a vaccine will still take more than a year to develop.”
USA Today wasn’t spared in the secretary’s speech for warning that “‘despite medical researchers progress, the vaccine quote was more than a year away.”
McEnany also later on revealed National Geographic said having a vaccine within a year to 18 months is “absolutely unprecedented.”
“These reports deserve their own fact check. False,” McEnany added.
And who would forget MSNBC’s “expert on pandemic influenza” calling President Trump’s statement “preposterous,” and “impossible,” in an attempt to ridicule the president?
With the vaccine being slowly released to the public, the nation’s future gets brighter with the hope of finally capping an end to this pandemic.
Almost a year in isolation has kept everyone on edge, with only President Trump’s optimism of the early vaccine that the media has shut down even before its birth.
