It should come as no surprise that until now, Joe Biden is refusing to discuss the emails released by the New York Post, proving that his youngest son, Hunter Biden, used his ties to the Obama administration for the benefit of a Ukrainian gas company.
After all, the former Vice President has been doing it for years. He has always avoided any questions regarding his son’s overseas business deals.
On Sunday, as he was doing a campaign swing through North Carolina, he was asked about the story concerning his son. In particular, he was asked by a reporter if he had any comments about the revelations that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) obtained Hunter’s laptop last year through a subpoena.
The video of Biden’s encounter with the reporter was shared on Twitter by President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign. The clip shows that Democratic presidential nominee Biden refused to even let the reporter finish the question. Instead, he walked away as soon as the word “FBI” was mentioned.
The New York Post recently reported that it had obtained emails from a laptop that was allegedly Hunter’s. According to the Post, Hunter left his laptop at a local computer repair shop after it was damaged. However, after the owner called several times and got no response, he decided to go through it.
Upon going through the files, the owner saw incriminating evidence and pornography. The owner then turned it over to New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Afterward, the FBI seized the laptop as part of an ongoing investigation into foreign election interference.
According to the Post, Hunter had exchanged emails with a top executive from Ukrainian-based natural gas conglomerate Burisma Holdings. The email shows that a meeting took place between a representative of the company and the then-Vice President Biden in 2015.
Since the Post revealed the emails, Biden has refused to comment at all on the matter. Biden has stayed silent even after his campaign stated that no official meeting with the Burisma representative took place, but suggested that it may have occurred in an unofficial capacity.
“Biden’s campaign would not rule out the possibility that the former VP had some kind of informal interaction with [the representative] which wouldn’t appear on Biden’s official schedule,” Politico reported this week.
Why are the Bidens getting away with this?
