Trump supporter Jacob Chansley shifted as he offered to testify against President Trump, claiming he feels betrayed. The face-paint and fur-wearing protester’s images inside the Capitol came to be the cover of the January 6 riot in Washington, D.C.

According to his lawyer, Al Watkins, Chansley would testify at Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate, which would begin in February second week. Chansley is also popularly known by his colleagues as “QAnon Shaman.”

Watkins said that his client was “horrendously smitten” by Trump, yet disappointed when the former president refused to grant pardons to him and other protesters involved in the Capitol riots.

“He felt like the president betrayed him,” Watkins said.  Watkins clarified not speaking to any Senate member since the announcement of Chansley’s offer. However, he said the lawmakers needed to hear from someone allegedly incited by Trump.

It has also been reported that several Trump supporters, who now face charges of their own, released statements likely to be used heavily against the former president. If so, the impeachment trial might establish Trump’s connection and responsibility in inciting the deadly Capitol riots.

At least four other protesters and Chansley suggested they took orders from former President Trump. Chansley has yet to enter a plea to charges of obstruction of an official proceeding, civil disorder, demonstrating in a Capitol building, disorderly conduct in a restricted building, etc. Despite his arraignment schedule on Friday, Washington.

Prosecutors claim Chansley went inside the Capitol, disregarded an officer’s demand to leave, went inside the Senate chamber, and wrote to threaten the then-vice president Mike Pence.

Court records said he told investigators that he went to the Capitol at Donald Trump’s request.
