Hillary Clinton just joined the national campaign to portray President Trump as the bad guy and demonize all his supporters as violent white supremacists by calling for Trump supporters’ tracking and censorship.
Last week, chaos erupted in Washington D.C. when attendees of a “stop the steal” rally stormed the US Capitol building. The media have since then shown that the Trump supporters allegedly did the violence. Prominent big-tech companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat have even banned President Trump from their respective platforms.
Clinton shared her Washington Post editorial through her Twitter account, saying that although “Last week’s attack is cause for grief and outage,” it should not have been “cause for shock.”
Clinton wrote in the Washington Post editorial:
“Removing Trump from office is essential,” Clinton went on. “I believe he should be impeached. Members of Congress who joined him in subverting our democracy should resign, and those who conspired with the domestic terrorists should be expelled immediately.”
Clinton believes that although those need to be done, it is not enough to eliminate white supremacy and “extremism” from America.
“There are changes elected leaders should pursue immediately,” Clinton concluded. According to her, included in these changes are “advocating new criminal laws at the state and federal levels that hold white supremacists accountable” as well as “tracking the activities of extremists such as those who breached the Capitol.”
