An elderly x-ray technician became seriously ill after his second Pfizer vaccine shot and died after four days. His wife demanded, “We need to know the cause.”
Orange County, California officials, is currently investigating the 60-year-old healthcare worker’s death after administering his second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
Santa Ana’s South Coast Global Medical Center x-ray technologist was admitted on January 5, hours after being vaccinated. His wife, Rochelle, told the Orange County Register that Tim’s health rapidly deteriorated in the next few days, and he died on January 9.
Rochelle Zook said that Tim believes in vaccines, and she doesn’t blame “any pharmaceutical company” for her husband’s death. “But when someone gets symptoms 2 1/2 hours after a vaccine, that’s a reaction. What else could have happened?” she added.
Rochelle only wants the public to be aware of what happened to Tim; So that he did not die in vain, claiming that severe reactions are rare and COVID-19 is still a much more deadly force.
“The message is, be safe, take the vaccine — but the officials need to do more research. We need to know the cause. The vaccines need to be as safe as possible. Every life matters.” she continued.
Rochelle also said that Tim was “quite healthy” although slightly overweight and took medication for high blood pressure. “He had never been hospitalized. He’d get a cold and be over it two days later. The flu, and be over it three days later.” The pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, told Orange County Register in an email that it was aware of Tim Zook’s death.
“We closely monitor all such events and collect relevant information to share with global regulatory authorities.
Based on Pfizer, BioNTech, and health authorities’ ongoing safety reviews, (the vaccine) retains a positive benefit-risk profile for the prevention of COVID-19 infections.
Serious adverse events, including deaths that are unrelated to the vaccine, are unfortunately likely to occur at a similar rate as they would in the general population.”
Zook’s passing was the latest in a series of reports about allergic reactions and/or deaths for both Pfizer’s and Moderna’s vaccines.
According to The Defender, several state and federal officials are currently investigating a man’s death in Placer County, California, on January 21, hours after receiving the vaccine. News reports said that the man tested positive for the virus in December. The specific vaccine and cause of death have yet to be released.
The outlet also reported on a baseball legend, Hank Aaron’s death, only 18 days after being administered the first dose of Moderna vaccine. USA Today reported that Aaron died of a stroke.
Early January, a Johns Hopkins scientist told the NYT that the Pfizer’s vaccine caused a 56-year-old Florida doctor’s death on January 3. Michael’s wife said he was “perfectly healthy,” yet died of a rare autoimmune disease, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), two weeks after getting his first dose. However, Florida health officials continue to investigate his death.
At least 40 fatalities on older people following their vaccinations in Germany and Norway forced China health officials last week to halt administering Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, especially on the frail ones.
About 181 deaths have already been reported to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) of the US as possibly COVID vaccines-related.
Both Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are linked to severe allergic reactions. The Defender reported that California health officials paused on a large batch of Moderna vaccines after several people experienced allergic reactions. Moderna gave a signal to resume for the same batch a few days later.
Currently, only the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines received emergency use authorization in the US – both use mRNA technology. Both vaccines are considered experimental, according to FDA’s definition.
