As they say, ‘strike when the iron is hot.’ Joe Biden signed an EO mandating masks to be worn at all times on federal properties, announcing, “Wearing masks isn’t a partisan issue — it’s a patriotic act that can save countless lives.”

However, he steps back two days later, admitting, “There’s nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months.”

So, which was it, really?

We have been directed for months that lockdowns and masks are crucial in preventing the coronavirus spread. How could Biden explain his mask mandates on the one hand, yet, admit that nothing can be done to change the pandemic trajectory? The incumbent president has spent months imputing Trump for the pandemic, even blaming him for the death toll.

Biden’s campaign narrative has been that Trump failed to prevent the pandemic, and electing the Democrats would make it all better. Yet, now he tells us otherwise.

The president also vowed to improve the pandemic response, declaring in October, “We’re eight months into this pandemic, and Donald Trump still doesn’t have a plan to get this virus under control. I do.”

Biden’s flip-flop is horrendous considering that he inherited two approved vaccines, with one on the way, complete with a distribution system, all thanks to the Operation Warp Speed of President Trump. Only a competent office can take the system already in place.

However, Americans, or the voting machines, elected the wrong person-in-charge. It could be noted that the Obama-Biden administration failed its target vaccine production during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic. Early 2008 summer predictions targeted 160 million vaccine doses by October, yet ended fewer than 30 million.

The outraged public demanded answers from the leaders, and congressional investigations ensued.

A Purdue University study determined that the Obama-Biden administration’s failure to provide enough vaccines on time meant it was “too late to help most Americans who will be infected during this flu season.”

It also determined that the CDC’s planned vaccination campaign would “likely not have a large effect on the total number of people ultimately infected by the pandemic H1N1 influenza virus.”

The same administration’s response to the then H1N1 pandemic was horrifying that the former Ebola czar, Ron Klain, who now serves as Biden’s chief of staff, claimed that the response was indeed botched.

Biden’s track record only shows that he is incompetent to stop the pandemic trajectory.
